4/5/07

Oh man, last night the weather was beautiful, a completely clear sky coupled with a 65F temp. (maybe higher, not sure) perfect weather for sitting on the beach, drinking beer, and having a grand old time, sadly though, I had to run instead.

This brilliant day reminded me of why I used to run in the mornings, ie: cooler weather and nothing to get in the way of a little R&R time. Oh well...

My muscles were still a bit tight from Tuesday's 7 miles but I actually sorta like running when I'm not 100%, it feels like I'm getting more out of it. So I got home from work, changed into my running clothes, streched out fairly quickly, walked out the door, and........... stood there...... for, like, a good minute, contemplating to myself, "which way should I go?" I finially just started heading north with a basic route in mind. I knew that a simple route up 46th/47 th Ave SW, through the "Admiral" district, and back home would log me in at about 3 1/2 miles, but since the plan was 4, I'd have to find a way to breifly extend it. I managed to add a bit less than I had wanted and finished with 3.82 miles.... meh, close enough. I was however, quite pleased to see that despite the heat, I still ran a 7:20 per mile for a total time of 28:03.

To see the route 'click' here.

Nothing much exciting to report from the run... but here's the unexciting parts...
  • I sweat... a lot...
  • I (re-)discovered a really nice look out on Sunset Ave. SW.
  • I remembered that midschool aged children are shits...
  • I also remembered that I was once one too...
Anyhoo, today's another off day then tomorrow and Sunday both call for 3 miles... yeesh, now looking at next week I see that all of it is 3 milers, sounds pretty boring, I may have to add a few here and there... we'll see...

...and oh yeah, by the way, I have no intentions of updating on the weekends so don't bother checkin'...
